The National AI Stakeholders Roundtable in Abuja is a high-level gathering of key players from government, academia, industry, and civil society to deliberate on the future of Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria and its critical role in driving sustainable development.
This roundtable will serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, aligning priorities, and addressing the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, security, and governance.
Selected papers submitted under the theme “Advancing Responsible and Equitable AI Practices” will be featured at the event, offering participants actionable insights and innovative solutions to shape Nigeria’s evolving AI ecosystem.
We are seeking papers that address critical challenges and opportunities in Artificial Intelligence within the Nigerian context and beyond. The focus areas include:
Exploring frameworks and strategies to ensure safe and responsible AI adoption tailored to Nigeria's unique needs and challenges.
Proposing methodologies and practices to identify, mitigate, and eliminate biases in AI systems to promote equity and fairness.
Investigating innovative AI applications in governance, addressing challenges, and uncovering opportunities for impactful generative AI solutions in public sector services.
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words, and all papers must address one or more of the identified focus areas. Submissions are accepted in PDF format only. Accepted papers will receive recognition and a reward, with details to be communicated. Additionally, selected papers will be published in the official ACAI Roundtable Proceedings, offering contributors the opportunity to showcase their work to key stakeholders shaping AI development.
